The qualification lays the foundation for the development of management competencies required by retail managers currently operating as junior managers. The qualification introduces key terms like concepts, principles and practices of management that will enable learners to be informed as managers in their occupations.
Demonstrate competencies in management relating to Planning, Organising, Leading, Controlling and Ethics. Overall, this qualification will ensure that learners are capable of:
Module One: Develop plans to achieve defined objectives
Module Two: Organise resources in accordance with a developed plan
Module Three: Lead a team to work cooperatively to achieve objectives
Module Four: Monitor performance to ensure compliance to a plan
Module Five: Make decisions based on a code of ethics
Module Six: Apply numeric skills to lead and manage a team or small unit
Module Seven: Manage a small team in an office environment
This qualification is achieved through the learnership. This means it includes the component of theory (attend Contra-lit contact sessions) and start own business / workplace.
